There are lots of perks if you live in Trump Tower. But the biggest amenity, at least according to a real estate agency trying to sell a condo there, is the built-in security of the Secret Service.
“Fifth Avenue Buyers Interested in Secret Service Protection?” reads an email from real estate agency Douglas Elliman, according to Politico. "The New Aminity [sic] – The United States Secret Service.” Douglas Elliman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
According to Politico, the property that was being advertised was a $2.1 million, 1,052-square-foot condo in the residential portion of Trump Tower.
The president-elect lives and works in the tower and has a 24/7 security detail. Even when he moves to the White House, some Secret Service is expected to remain, as Trump's wife, Melania, and youngest son, Barron, will continue to live there at least until the end of the school year.
On Monday, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio requested that the federal government reimburse $35 million in additional security costs in keeping the president-elect safe during the transition.
The Secret Service did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the advertisement.
